An emblematic site of the Hauts-de-France region (Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie), this jewel of the Opal Coast is located in the Pas-de-Calais department between Boulogne-sur-Mer and Calais.
Remarkable for the diversity of its landscapes, the variety of environments, and the coastal villages, it forms the coastal strip of the Caps et Marais d'Opale Regional Natural Park. Its location at the gateway to the Strait of Dover offers an exceptional view of England.
The Grand Site de France des Deux-Caps covers an area of 7,500 hectares, with a 23km coastline. It includes eight municipalities (Sangatte, Escalles, Wissant, Tardinghen, Audinghen, Audresselles, Ambleteuse, and Wimereux) that are part of three inter-municipal authorities (the urban communities of Calaisis and Boulonnais, and the communities of communes of La Terre des 2 Caps), and is home to just over 17,000 residents!
